The THUNDER Game!

We took Em'ry to see her 1st NBA Game! The THUNDER were playing the JAZZ and we had a blast! Em'ry loved the noise and the lights. She likes to people watch so she was entertained. We had great seats and before the game even started she was on the JUMBOTRON. She was also on FOX SPORTS SW!

Our first Family Ski Trip!

We had a blast on our first family vacation! We took Em'ry to Wolf Creek for the first time! It was a long trip but Em'ry was a trooper.

We stopped in Booker on our way to Colorado to meet up with Brandi, Corey, Mom, Dad, Jana, Cesar, and Hailie. It was nice to see everyone even for a short time. It was also a good way to break up the trip since it is such a long drive.
Nolan got to hold Em'ry for the first time!

It took us about 10 hours to make the 8 hour trip because we tried to make it as pleasant as possible for Em'ry. She did great! We had a little meltdown about 2 hours from the cabin and even a pacifier wouldn't solve the problem. But, turns out she was just tired of looking at Mommy! So, Greg and I traded places and she was golden.

Everyone but my mom and Hailie wanted to ski so they got to spend some quality time with Miss Em'ry. It was the first time I had been away from her for more than a couple of hours so I was a little nervous but they survived. My mom said she got upset a couple of times but I guess that is normal for a 3 month old:) Or, in Hailie's words, "Baby Em'ry cried for her Mommy!" I think they had a lot of fun as you can see from the pics.

We made the entire trip from Pagosa to Edmond in one day on the return trip! It didn't go as smoothly as the trip out but we make it. Again, Em'ry did great for the first eight hours and then had a meltdown. This time the Binky that Aunt Bran bought against my will did the trick!

We had so much fun and can't wait for next year's ski trip!

We have a thumb sucker...Well, maybe.

Em'ry sucked her thumb on purpose for the 1st time! I'm not sure if that is a good or bad thing! I was getting things settled down for her afternoon feeding and put her on the bed on a pillow for just a second. When I walked back in the room, she was sucking her thumb with her eyes closed! She put herself to sleep for the first time and slept 45 minutes passed her eating time which almost never happens. It was so cute!

She is quite the entertainer these days! She smiles and talks, acts shy, and gripes when she doesn't get her way. She has been loving the weather. We have taken several walks and even went for a jog in the park. The JEEP stroller Aunt Teresa and Aunt Ang got us is amazing! Em'ry loved it!
We are going to the mountains this weekend and Em'ry is going to stay at the cabin with Nana while we ski. I'm sure the trip will turn into lots of good pics and stories!

Tongue, Toes, and Toons!

The past week has been filled with a ton of laughter! Em'ry has discovered her tongue, her toes, and that she loves cartoons! She sticks her tongue out constantly and is always licking her lips. If you tease her about it she gets an ornery grin on her face! I have also begun putting her in nightgowns instead of feet pajamas on warm nights and she discovered her toes. She pulls the nighty all the way up around her belly so that she can see her toes and tirelessly crosses and uncrosses her feet, rubs them together, and wiggles her toes while staring at them in amazement. She is also starting to laugh and "talk" alot! If you tickle her belly or neck she giggles like crazy!

I have said before that she likes to watch TV but she is especially fond of cartoons. Don't worry, I only let her watch 30 minutes of Baby Einstein in the mornings while I get ready so don't think I'm turning her into a couch potato! Here is a pic of just how zoned in she gets.

On Saturday, we attended Chris's graduation and Em'ry was a trooper for the fam. She sat quietly during the ceremony as she was passed back and forth and then slept through lunch which makes it easy on Mommy.

Jana kept Em'ry for a few hours on Wednesday and it sounds like they had a blast. Em'ry loves Aunt Jana and probably talks to her more than anyone else. When I got home after being away, Em'ry just stared at me for a long time like she couldn't believe I was there before a huge grin came across her face. I'm so lucky I don't have to leave her often and that when I do have to be gone Jana is here.
