Love is in the air!

So, two years ago, Greg took me to Las Vegas for Valentine's Day, we found out a month later we were expecting, and today we celebrated Valentine's Day with the sweetest 14 month old on earth!

Em'ry brings so much joy to our lives. She is such a happy and loving little girl. Brandi and Corey kept Em'ry on Saturday night so that Greg and I could go to dinner and while we were out it was so hard to stay focused on the two of us because we couldn't stop talking about how blessed we are to have Em'ry.

She is finally to the age where she enjoys opening gifts and understands the concept. I think we are in trouble because thanks to Uncle and Aunt Bran, she already has a shoe fettish! She got lots of gifts and sweet notes for Valentine's including white and pink Nike's from Bran and Corey, clothes and candy from Mimi and Grandad, Pjs and candy from Nana and Papi, a sweet card from Papa Calvin.

We waited until this afternoon to give her the Valentine's Day treat we got her. The balloon was a hit! She also liked the monkey and chocolate chip cookies but I believe she is on sugar overload!

Every year we have Strawberry cupcakes with Strawberry icing for Valentine's Day dessert. Its Greg's favorite. Of course Em'ry had to have a taste so we followed dinner with a cupcake!

Lots of company!

In the past three weeks, we have had visits from both sets of grandparents. Soooooo, Em'ry is a little spoiled!

My parents visited during the next to last weekend in January. They came in late on Thursday night and when Em'ry woke up on Friday she was pleasantly surprised to find she got to spend the day with them. We all went to Brandi's basketball games on Friday night. Em'ry loves going to the games. We sit behind the bench where there is room for her to play with Coach J's kids as well.

After my parents visited, I came down with a horrible cold and couldn't seem to kick it. On Wednesday, Brandi and Corey picked Em'ry up from Nancy's and took her to eat. Apparently Brandi underestimated Em'ry's appetite because she ate nearly all of Brandi's dumplings at Cracker Barrel. She had so much fun that on Thursday when I went back to the doctor and Greg had a game, Corey picked her up again, she went to dinner with them again, and then they took her to a Women's College Basketball game at HBU. I'm so thankful to have them close by and for all their help.

The last weekend in January, Greg and I decided that since everyone else was getting to spoil Em'ry, we should too. We took her to dinner on Friday night and let her stay up late. On Saturday night, we had pizza at Brandi and Corey's (which she loves), and then let her stay up late and sleep with us. On Sunday morning, Greg went and got her donut holes from Shipley's before church. After church, we took her to an Old Fashioned Soda Shop where she ate a very healthy meal before we all shared a BANANA SPLIT! She was in Heaven!

Then, in spite of the horrible snow storm in the panhandle, Greg's parents were able to come in for a weekend visit. They also arrived on a Thursday night and kept Em'ry on Friday. She had a blast. We went to Bran's basketball game on Friday night and spent time with Matt on Saturday. Em'ry got to open her Valentine's Day gift from Mimi and Grandad a little early. She loves clothes and was super excited to see her new outfit which includes matching shoes, socks, sunglasses, and hairbows! She also got Valentine's magnets to put on the fridge which keep her busy while I cook!
