Easter

We spent Easter weekend in Booker. We got into town late Thursday night and spent all day Friday lounging and Greg took Em'ry up to the school so that her Mimi could show her off. The weather was nice on Friday and we were able to go to Jackson's baseball game and the community Good Friday service.

We spent two nights at my parents' with Hailie before she broke out with the CHICKENPOX! You can see that her and Em'ry are pretty good buds. In this picture, they are cuddled up watching cartoons before bed.

Saddly, Hailie had to go home on Saturday morning and we didn't get to have an egghunt on Sunday. :( But, luckily Em'ry hasn't broken out! I was a little panicky.

Sunday was a rainy day. We went to church and Em'ry was so good. Nana held her while she slept through the sermon. Since it was rainy and Hailie couldn't come over, we didn't hunt eggs but we had a great family dinner and spent the afternoon visiting family.

4 Months Old!

Em'ry is growing so fast! I can't believe she is 4 months old! We took her to get her 4 month check-up and she got another set of 4 shots. It wasn't a pleasant experience but she handled it much better than she did at 2 months. However, the rest of the evening was a disaster! She was so sore and I felt so sorry for her. As you can see from the pic she was pretty dazed all evening.

She got a great report from the doctor! She loves Dr. Parrington but I'm sure its because she's not the one administering the shots or holding her down! Since she is so strong and sitting supported, Dr. Parrington wanted us to start cereals and hopefully get her sleeping longer at night. Em'ry loves the cereal! We have had mixed feelings about whether or not it is helping her sleep better at night but we're holding out hope. Last night she slept from 9 to 3 and 3 to 6 which is the longest so far.

We started the cereal on Saturday night and boy was church interesting on Sunday! I usually try to manipulate the schedule so that Em'ry is eating or napping during church so that we can keep her quiet without taking her to the nursery. Well, I was feeding her during the sermon and lo-and-behold I felt POOP running down my leg! I quickly handed her to Greg and he rushed her out while I wiped down and cleaned up what was pooling on the floor. Amazingly, Em'ry didn't get a drop on her own clothes and luckily I was wearing dark brown pants! Not a single person noticed what was going on! It was crazy!

The weather has been nice some lately so we take Em'ry for a walk as often as possible. She complains alot about the sun being in her eyes so Greg came up with a solution!
